All of my music is in FLAC so Ive been searching for an app for my phone and Ive been trying out all of the free ones and reading reviews on the paid apps. So far the Onkyo app is at the top of my list but the UI leaves something to be desired.
The Jetaudio app has a very nice UI and its feature rich. Jetaudio is well versed in this given that they make DAPs but they fall very short if you want to add music files not supported by Apple, such as FLAC files.
The problem is this app does not scan your library. You add folders and files and then you browse the folders to find your music. This means you can only search your music by how you add the folders and files. You wont see your music show up under the album/artists/songs tab. This is perplexing to me, given that this app has features most other apps dont have, such as the ability to choose whether you want to play your music as gapless or cross fade.
If Jetaudio starts scanning libraries and properly reading metadata tags itll be the best and well worth the cost of admission.
